The Golden Boot
With the World Cup approaching, Partycash4Gold have been inundated with emails about all things golden connected to the World Cup. We recently offered a valuation of the Jules Rimet Trophy which has increased in value over 8 times since it was produced in 1974 and is now valued at over £110,000 based on current gold prices.
The Golden Boot, whilst not made of gold is the award presented to the player who scores the most goals during the competition. Since 1982 eight players have won the coveted World Cup Golden Boot Award, including Klose, Ronaldo, and Gary Lineker, among other greats. Germany’s Miroslav Klose is the latest player to win the Golden Boot, during FIFA World Cup 2006.
